Regular price $24.95

Unit price per

Built in 1934 to replace an earlier 1880 light, this lighthouse is an active aid to navigation in the harbor at Oswego, NY.  Six U.S. Coastguard light keepers died on December 4, 1942, when a transfer boat capsized during a storm.  The station remained manned until 1968 when it was automated.  The original fourth-order Fresnel lens was removed to the H. Lee White Maritime Museum in Oswego in 1995.  In 2000 the lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places and is now owned by the City of Oswego
