  • History Lecture Series

The H. Lee White Maritime Museum at Oswego features an annual History Lecture Series inviting distinguished historians and other notable professionals to educate our patrons.  2014 proved to be another successful year with speakers lecturing on a wide range of exciting topics.

The 2014 linup included: Marie Strong discussing the role of notable New Haven resident Elizabeth Shepard; Steve Wapen presented "Battle Island, July 3, 1756: Ambush on the Oswego River;" Dan Ferens presented "WWII-Stalag 17: A POW's Story;" and George DeMass presented on his experiences in understanting our Native American bretheren.

For more information, or to inquire about submitting an application for participating in the History Lecture Series, contact a museum representative at 315-342-0480.
