  • The Oswego Canal Play

This unique one act play written by Oswegonian, Rick Sivers, is based on historical characters that lived in Oswego in the 1830s, a time when the Erie and Oswego Canals played an important role in the development of America as people migrated west. Told through the narrative of Captain Chet Johnson as he tells a young girl the story of the Oswego Canal as a unique form of transportation and travel. Fit for all ages, this play will be held at the H. Lee White Maritime Museum on Friday, August 18th at a time to be determined.  Using Derrick Boat 8 - a National Register of Historic Places canal barge - as the stage for this event, it's surely one you wont want to miss!
