Jane Abraham, a dedicated Museum volunteer since1997, was presented with the prestigious "Volunteer of the Year" Award. |

Jane loyally tends Derrick
Barge No. 8, almost every Saturday throughout its open season. She
often puts in extra shifts when needed during events, programs or busy
season. An experienced docent, Mrs. Abraham guided many tours
again this year, as she has done continually through the years.
Her assistance at events and programs has been valuable, as well as her
willingness to distribute promotional materials in advance. This
year, she amazed the staff, weekly, with her ability to raise funds
through our Annual Benefit Drawing, by repeatedly attending the Oswego
Farmer's Market. She single-handedly raised close to one third of
the fundraiser's profit.
Congratulations, Janie! Good work, all around! |

H. Lee White Marine Museum Annual Volunteer Appreciation Reception 2004 |
![]() |
| A good time was had on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2004, at the Oswego Country Club. Over 40 volunteers, staff and members gathered to honor the 60+ volunteers who have contributed to the Museum's efforts this year. Volunteers of the Months, Docents, Volunteer Committee Members and Dedicated Volunteers (putting in over 30 hours each) were all separately honored, as well. Jane Abraham was awarded the 2004 Volunteer of the Year award during the event and seemed satisfactorily surprised. Congratulations to all our volunteers, on another fantastic year of growth and achievement for the Marine Museum. | |
